Unlike hard skills like which includes the persons technical skills and the ability for one to perform a certain task, soft skills are applicable across job title and industries. Many believe that hard skills can get one an interview but you will need those soft skills to keep that job. Technical skills and knowledge help us to be the best in the workplace. No matter your position you occupy in that organisation or industry you will always work with people. Building soft skills does lead to a more efficient, more productive and more harmonious workplace. Like all skills, soft skills can be learned they are an investment worth learning. When a problem arises sit down and think about a possible solution before knocking on your bosses door (for obvious reasons, you don’t want to embarrass yourself). I am sure you have seen many post ads with a requirement, critical thinking. Critical thinking is important as it brings new ideas in your organization. It can mean to think about the positives and negatives of every idea. Employers need someone with this soft skill. To develop this you need to keep learning.
