Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must possess a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification allowing registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. A minimum of 7 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration is required for Grade 1, with increasing experience expectations for Grade 2 and Grade 3 positions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exemplary nursing care. Duties include providing specialized nursing care within a professional and legal framework, handling obstetric and pediatric emergencies, and ensuring compliance with the Nursing Act. The roles also involve managing resources effectively, participating in quality improvement programs, and maintaining accurate patient records.
