The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Administrative Officer for Human Resource Management (People Management) in the Chief Directorate of Emergency and Clinical Services Support. Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Senior certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent).
- Experience in Human Resource Management, particularly in Performance Management and Grade Progressions processes.
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to function under stress and cope with a heavy workload.
- Planning and administration skills.
- Team player with and without supervision.
- Exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential information.
- Knowledge of Human Resource Management Legislation and Policies.
Duties
- Administer Performance Management processes and provide guidance to staff and managers.
- Manage grade progression and Departmental incentive schemes.
- Provide assistance in managing poor performance of staff.
- Ensure compliance with the PSR to review job descriptions.
- Advise on salary determination for all OSD categories of staff.
- Manage own line function responsibilities towards subordinates.
- Provide effective support to supervisor and colleagues.
