This is an opening for the position of Registrar’s Clerk at the Labour and Labour Appeals Court in Johannesburg. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and management of court cases, providing indispensable support to the judiciary. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from R216,417 to R254,928 per annum, classified under Level 05.Registrar’s Clerk jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Case Flow Management Support
The Registrar’s Clerk will play a pivotal role in rendering effective and efficient case flow management support services. This includes:
- Handling Stakeholder Enquiries: Addressing all enquiries and correspondences from stakeholders promptly and professionally.
- Filing and Safekeeping: Ensuring all court records are properly filed and securely stored to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Administration of Appeals and Petitions: Managing the receipt, processing, and allocation of case numbers for all pleadings. Overseeing the administration and filing of all appeals and applications for leave to appeal.
- General Administrative Duties: Performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the court’s daily operations.

- Administrative and Organisational Skills: Demonstrating excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Communication Skills: Both written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with various stakeholders.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants must have a Matric Certificate or an equivalent qualification. Although a minimum of one year of relevant experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates with experience in general administration or court-related functions will have an added advantage. A valid driver’s license is also beneficial.
