Key Responsibilities
Administer Procurement Plan
The Administrative Officer will be responsible for the comprehensive administration of the procurement plan. This involves ensuring that all procurement activities align with the organizational objectives and comply with relevant policies and regulations.
Serve as Secretariat of the Bid Specification Committee
In this capacity, the officer will coordinate the activities of the Bid Specification Committee, ensuring all processes are meticulously documented and adhere to the established guidelines. This role is pivotal in maintaining transparency and integrity in the procurement process.
Conduct Market, Commodity, and Industrial Analysis
Conducting detailed analyses of market trends, commodity prices, and industrial developments will be a core responsibility. These analyses are crucial for informed decision-making and strategic procurement planning.
Stakeholder Engagement
The Administrative Officer will address queries from both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient resolution of issues. This role requires a proactive approach to stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in Supply Chain Management or a related field, as recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in administration within a similar role.
