Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Matric certificate
- Experience: At least one year of administration experience, preferably in a court environment
- Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in MS Office (computer literacy)
- Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems
- Numerical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Planning, organizing, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of the Rules of the High Court

Duties and Responsibilities
The Registrar’s Clerk will perform various tasks to support the judicial process and ensure efficient court operations:
- Case Flow Management Support:
- Assist in managing case flow and related activities.
- Handle the filing of civil processes and maintain organized records.
- Counter Services:
- Provide assistance to the public and legal practitioners at the counter.
- Act as a liaison between judges and legal practitioners.
- General Public Queries:
- Attend to and oversee general public inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
- Administrative Support:
- Offer administrative support to the Registrar’s office, including general office duties and case flow management.
- Respond to telephone and electronic official queries/correspondence.
- Data Management:
- Collect, capture, monitor, and control manual data.
- Update and upload case information on the Registrar’s tools.
- Judiciary Support:
- Assist with filing and safekeeping of recorded cases.
- Provide any required administrative support to the Judiciary, Chief Registrar, Court Manager, and/or supervisor.
